#31 - Expression of Gratitude

By, EV

Barefooted Me tagged me...and my gratitude goes this way.

My parents did not raise me a spoiled daughter when I was little. It's not because we came from a poor family and they could hardly provide us toys and all, but because they only want us to value and appreciate every little thing that comes as something we cannot just get in a wishing bowl instantly but must be given to us as hard earned thing. Something we can get because we earned it out of a good deed. And I even remember that I only get a new dress when I got to stand on stage every end of school year for getting honors back in elementary. Dress perfectly sewed by mother.

Sometimes I wonder if "thank you" would be enough that apart from the rest, I am blessed to have parents who taught us what life is really about. I am not a perfect daughter nor a great sister to my siblings. But one thing I am just sure of and proud to say, " I am filled with gratitude that out of it all, I always feel where I belong." My family loves me, regardless. Sometimes there were instance when I thought, I wasn't lucky as a grown up individual.Probably because I feel like there's still something lacking in my life as I grow up to be a matured one. But it would be too selfish to ask for more I know. God is a living God. I could not fathom the idea even when I would be a superwoman. But still I continue to thank God, that even when I go through trials along the way, I still find the courage to go on and seek for His wisdom.

Having my family, very good friends and God in life...I know deep in my heart that it would be too much to ask for more. And that my gratitude for all these blessings is beyond measure.

#30 - Statement of Gratitude

By, Uncomplicated

We live in a world of hardships, failures and disappointments. Some people almost lose their hope and trust in God whenever faced with problems and challenges. Instead of complaining, we should be grateful of what are and what we have. This gives us the feeling of inner peace and happiness. I am grateful. I am grateful for God’s countless and wonderful blessings bestowed upon me since the day I was born.

I thank my beloved parents for their unconditional love and for the values they instilled in me. I enjoyed a happy childhood because of them together with my other eight (8) siblings. I thank my loving husband for always being there through my ups and downs and my Althea for bringing so much joy in the family. I also thank my friends and colleagues for words of inspiration and motivation.

I thank God for good health and never-ending guidance…For without Him, I am nothing.

#29 - Statement of Gratitude

By, KCee

I always remember an important lesson my father told me when I was just a little girl. He said, "When you ask God for something, and it doesn't come, there are 2 reasons why: 1. It's not yet time for you to have it, but it will come in His own time and schedule, or, 2. He doesn't want you to have it because it will do you no good." This was imprinted in my young mind, and I still carry it with me today.

It was elemental in shaping my mindset of being optimistic at all times, and it helps me a lot to overcome disappointments and frustrations I encounter along the way. I'm really thankful that I learned it early in life.

I'm grateful for all that there is, all that is not meant to be, and all that is yet to come. I thank God for generously blessing me with a strong support system - loving family, daughter, relatives and friends, who stand by me through the highest and lowest points of my life.

I'm thankful for everything - for every single little thing that reminds me that I am loved by God.

#27 - Something To Be Grateful!!!!

By, Lovella

Today.... I almost got into a car accident. Thank GOD that He had given me presence of mind, wisdom and courage.

My group and I had a lunch out. Hubby was not with us because he needs to be with their visitor. We had a good lunch but not a real good experience. Mcdo was jam packed. We just ate near the party area where aircon was off. We're sweating while eating.

Going back to work was pretty smooth, until I got impatient with the truck and tricycle in front of me. I cut them and was surprised to see a truck in front of us... very close. My thoughts were... I will hit it very hard if I'll stop. I just turned the wheel to the right. Luckily, I
never hit the tricycle and was also not hit by the truck.

It was indeed a blessing. Thanks be to GOD!

  1. To my parents, without them I am nothing. They've been so supportive to me in everything. Even during the time when I was really really brokenhearted, they consoled me and even gave me advices. And because of that, I married the man whom I really love and now have an adorable daughter!
  2. My brother, for he was the main reason why I had to strive harder in life.
  3. My husband who have never failed me. He accepts me for whoever I am and that includes my "sungetness" and "laziness" wahahaha!
  4. Deye, my daughter, for letting me know what a real mother means.
  5. My friends, for always making my days.
  6. Blog buddies and loyal readers, for patronizing my blogs everyday. Without all of you, my blogs won't get noticed!

#22 - Thank You!!!

By, We Are Family

Thanks for this tag Amore. This is a great way of counting our blessings.

I am thankful

1. For the love and support that GOD showers upon me. When I’m at my lowest point he is there to uplift my spirits. He sustains he during the most challenging parts and I am thankful that he hears my prayers.

2. For the unwavering patience that M0rn1ng shows me through the years. For supporting my plans and thoughts, for helping me out in our household chores and simply being there when I need someone to talk too.

3. For the wonderful sisters I have. They’ve been another pillar of support. I don’t know what to do without them. Though they look up to me as their ate and always been the one who makes the big decisions for them, I am also dependent on this two. Thank you for sticking up with me through thick and thin.

4. For the little boy who gives me joy, strength and inspiration in every thing I do each day. You are the reason why I strive to be a better mommy, a better wife, and a better individual.

5. For the companionship of friends I have both online and offline.

I feel so blessed.

#21 - Gratefullness

By, A Little Time

"Most importantly, I'm grateful for my existence in this world, that God has created me and given me a good life. I'm grateful for the faith of God and the good health I have that I could work to earn a living.

I'm grateful for being blessed with a wonderful family that I could live life with a smile in a simple house.

I'm also grateful for my parents. They brought me up with great values, morals and education. They showered me with love and care.

Although there are times in life that I went through difficult situations, I noticed that there were always feelings of gratefulness awaiting for me in the end. The feeling of gratefulness for the experiences that made me a stronger and better person to face the future.

I'm also grateful for my blog. This is the place that I could vent out and get something off my chest. More importantly, this is the place where I met a couple of wonderful people who became my friends, and I'm grateful for having them as my friends. Due to my tight schedules at work, I don't blog often, but my friends are always here to inspire me with their nice words that I'm still here writing. They spend their valuable time to visit this place although "A Little Time" is just a dull and simple blog.

In our daily lives, we must see "that it is not happiness that makes us grateful, but the gratefulness that makes us happy." — Albert Clarke."

#20 - Be Grateful

By, Irresistible Fascinations

Well, gratitude is something that is already seldom seen among individuals. We may have all the faults and failures in life, and people already tend to blame everyone for what he has gone through. Not welcoming the idea that there is more about him to be thankful for, because each person is created by God in his own unique ways.

Here's a message I got from email, which is inspirational in my opinion.

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?". Hands started going up. He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first let me do this". He proceeded to crumple up the bill.

He then asked, "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air. "Well", he replied, " What if I will do this?" And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe.

He picked it up , now crumpled and dirty. "Now who still wants it?" Still the hands went up in the air.

My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20.

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.

Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who do love you.

Truly inspiring? For me it is. We should never lose hope in times of downfall and be grateful for those people who stood by us in those times. Well, I would like to take these opportunity to thank all those people who have been an instrument for my happiness and contentment. You guys have made my world a beautiful place.

#19 - Grateful

By, Winged Words

Every morning, I thank the Lord for yet another day He gave to me. I know life can be full of challenges or happiness but either way, I am grateful that I get to live it. I am grateful for a husband who is very patient and understanding, in spite of my shortcomings. I am grateful for having a job, no matter how hard or boring it can get, I realize that not everyone who wants to have a job gets one so I tell myself that I am fortunate enough to be one of those who earn for a living. I am grateful for my family without whom I wouldn't be the person that I am today. I am grateful for all the blessings that I was given -- good education, happy childhood, strong faith, well-built relationships, wonderful siblings, dependable parents, meeting my one true love-my husband, and so much more. If at times I forget to say Thank You for these ever growing list of things to be grateful for, those are just the times when the challenges seem greater than they really are. At the end of the day, I know I am still very fortunate to have lived a life with a firm belief that no matter how times get rough -- "This too, shall pass"

#18 - Life is Full of Gratitude

By, Nelle

Yes, no matter what’s happening to you right now. Even if you’re going through some difficult times or you’re in a cloud nine right now, there’s always something to be grateful about life.

I am grateful because 21 years of my life have been a rollercoaster ride. I have experienced a lot things, good and bad but still here I am and full of hope and passion.

I am grateful for encountering the mighty One above. He never fail me and I just know that whatever happens, He’s love will be until forever.

I am grateful for having my mom, she’s my strongest support and when I know in my heart that she believes in me, I’m positive that I’ll be able to do the things I want. And also my family, I love them and they keep occupied and irritated (sometimes). Hehe

I’m grateful for my two best friends. They are the people who kept encouraging me and at the same time are the first one to hit me with a chair if I’m being stupid at times.

I’m grateful for my friend Ruby, she’s like a friend so far away from me. Hehe… I enjoy our chats and I just love how she’s so sincere on sharing stuff about her, and also for teaching things and for just being a good friend.

I’m also grateful for meeting Juliana here on the virtual world. I appreaciate her every visits here on my blog and for always commenting. I like her because she got this cool aura that is contagious and will put a smile on your face.

I "try" to do all the tags that I get...try being the operative word here since I can't keep up with all of them. But if there are tags I like doing, it has to be something like this one. Something that makes me think and look at my life in a positive way.

That being said, I'd like to thank Nelle of Lucid Creativity not only for passing on this one to me but for including "meeting me" as one of the things she's grateful for. I didn't expect it but it's very flattering. So let me start by saying that I am also grateful for 'bumping' into her here in the blogesphere. I can still remember where that first encounter was. It was on JK's blog. Without getting into too much detail, she left a message for JK and I got to read it. Her message was very touching that it made me visit her blog. That simple.

It's not everyday that you come across someone like that...didn't know then that's she's only 21 yrs old. I was still playing hide and seek and blowing bubbles at that age [ha!]...but there she was imparting some words of wisdom. Today, here we are...full-pledged members of the MAC together with Mommy Ruby. MAC?? Mutual Admiration Club...haha.

What else am I grateful about/for? Plenty actually. My life is blessed in so many ways. I didn't grow up with all the material things I wanted [and needed sometimes] but it was a very happy childhood. For that I'm grateful for/to my parents and siblings. Yes we went [still do] through all the dramas that families go through but at the end of the day, it's us that stayed together ...through thick and thin.

My parents for letting me grow and letting me go when I had to so I can live a life that I may have not known if they hadn't let me go. It was probably one of the hardest things for them to do but they did it for me...and I will forever be grateful for that.

Some unknown person/s that sent me through college. I never met him/her/they but I will always be grateful because without their financial assistance, I probably wouldn't be where I am right now.

The nuns in a dormitory at Pope Pius XII Catholic Center for providing me with a safe haven while I was away from my family. I so loved that place I stayed for another year after my college graduation...

My husband for finding him when I did [yes, I found him]. For being the best Dad and husband I could ever ask for. For having a dream and doing what it takes to realize that dream. For letting me stay home with our little one and for not resenting me for not learning how to drive [yet].

Our daughter for making life worth living for. I never really thought I'd be a mother one day as I used to be so busy being a daughter myself. Now that we have her, I can't imagine life without her.

I have a lot of other things I am grateful about/for but if I start listing them all it will take me forever to finish this interesting tag. So I am stopping here for now and wait for a similar tag [or this very same tag from another blogger...haha] to list down some of the things I am grateful for.

By, Juliana's Lair

Yes peeps, this is a tag. My namesake, Juliana passed this one on to me. It’s nice to come across memes like this, as it makes you take a pause and think and allows you to share things that are otherwise unwritten and unshared unless asked.

So, what am I grateful for/about? Plenty, but I am going to try and make my list as concise as possible. Otherwise, I would occupy tons of space haha.

* A loving husband that found me at the right time, in the right place. The man that painted my life in all kinds of colors, forever patient even if I go over board at times, and above all, he lets me be “me”.

* Loving and responsible parents that gave me the best life. Without them, I would never have the life I have today. They allowed me and gave me the “wings” to fly so I could soar without limits and boundaries.

* Loving and accepting parents in law that allows us to be “us”. It’s comforting to know that they are always in our corner. I don’t have to worry about the traditional, proverbial controlling and nosy mother in law.

* Supportive family, extended family and friends that are always there in good and bad times.

* My blogger friends and the cyberspace for the friendship and blogging. Who would have thought I’d find friends in cyberspace?

* The last, but definitely not the least, this wonderful and pure bliss married life for almost eight years and the never ending blessings that keep flowing in. We feel so blessed, that’s why there’s no room for greed. The ability to share one’s blessings to the less fortunate gives us satisfaction and happiness.

#15 - My Husband

By, In the Life of MneI am grateful for a lot of things but would like to dedicate this statement to my loving husband.

I am grateful that I found a Husband who is perfect in so many ways (as a son, friend, brother, uncle, father, lover, & husband), who always sees both sides of the story, always giving someone a benefit of a doubt, would die to protect the CONSTITUTION of our beloved America for the future of our children, and such a honest man. He is my guide and direction. He always remind me to put my self in someone else's shoe when something doesn't come out the way it should be. I have so much love and respect for him.

#14 - Life Is Full of Gratitude

By, Reminiscence of My Adventures

My Husband, Family, Friends - Without them I would be nothing (of course next to our Creator). I am surrounded with countless blessings having these people around me. Everyone can leave you but not those real friends and family who will always be there to support you no matter what. My Life is such an endless journey with them, words are not enough to explain how blessed I am but through my eyes you can see a happy and satisfied family woman and having a career in life.

Those trials I surpassed in my life for it made me stronger and being MYSELF who and what I am now. There are times that you may think it's the end of the world for you but always remember that there's rainbow after the rain.

I love the line of Pilar Pilapil "Believe that you're worthy of it, ang taong nagpapatulak ang ibig sabihin ay nagpapatulak, if you stand your ground then nobody can push you around" from the Teleserye LOBO.

#13 - Give Thanks

By, Jenn

As always, I am ever thankful for all the blessings that come my way. Big or small, it doesn't matter - I am still thankful about it. Like when a new intermission comes up, or if my cat's eyes got healed after being irritated for a while, I shout a gratitude for that.

But so far, the biggest thing I am thankful for is the ability to travel and see things about my own country even if I am not gifted with lots of money. I am thankful that at this early, I've already seen five new places, and already, I have made a wish come true. With that, comes my gratitude of being close to my family, especially my mom. I am so thankful she and I get along very well now. In few of my travels, I have been with her, and it's one great bonding moment for us. I thank God for the opportunity of being close to my mom.

In everything I am thankful for, I am just thankful for the gift of life to enjoy life's simple moments. I hope I can continue enjoying life for many more decades to come.

#12 - I am Grateful For...

By, Expressions and Thoughts

God who had been faithful in everything He does. He's such a great God no one can fathom His greatness... for His provision in everything I and my family need... for giving me the desires of my heart...

My hubby - for his love for me. His love is enough to get me going and aiming to be the best wife one could ever be.

My kids - I have two wonderful and lovely kids. Sometimes they can get into my nerves but I am grateful to be their mother.

My family back home in the Philippines for their love, support and prayers for me.

My old friends - who remain friends with me even though I am far away...

My new friends - most of them are online (blogging) friends. It is, I think, better to meet friends this way... you know them right to their bones right away coz... well, if you're a blogger, you would know what I meant.

Mian and Alve for coming to stay with me at home while hubby is away. This morning, I was surprised to wake up with a spic and span home... and that included our study room which has been in the mess since we moved in. They cleaned my house last night until 1:30 am while I was happily, soundly asleep in my room. I couldn't ask for better friends.
