#55 - Being grateful to everything

By, Joy

Am I grateful? the answer is yes- I am grateful for my parents who gives me life, who support us, give us educations, the disciplines, shelters and food. With out them I won't be in this life time, I grow up in a very nice foundation of family a very hardworking parents who wanted best on the family. There's one thing that I wanted to say to my mom-if she is still alive now " I will tell her that her words of discipline and strictness has its worthiness-even though back then I won't listen". I was grateful that her teaching was meant for our future to have a better lives ahead of us. Right now- I am grateful for a wonderful son- and to my ever temperamental husband, for my job which was great and to the new friendship that I gain in here in California.

There are times in our life we forgot to say thanks to all the blessing we have recieved, it's time for us and stop, think and say Thanks.

#54 - Life Is Full of Gratitude

By, Choc Mint Girl

Juliana tagged me with what she said "makes you take a pause and think and allows you to share things that are otherwise unwritten and unshared unless asked."

I feel the same thing. There are many things that I'm grateful for, but let me share the one that really matters to me right now, well, since there are no rules for this meme he he he...

"My life has changed tremendously when I met my hubby. He comes into my life when I was badly hurt from my past love affair. Even my family didn't quite know what really happened. Then, when hubby came, he brings the new light and excitement into my pathetic life at that time. :) He is such a caring and loving man, being so attentive to my needs. He loves to do wonderful things for me even for the little things. We always hold hands when we walk together and it feels awkward if we don't." :)

Actually, there are more, but enough la for this time. ;D

#52 - What are you grateful for?

By, Antuken

I am grateful for my health. Even if I get mouth sores (singaw) sometimes, and it makes it difficult to eat, at least I’m healthy (although a little underweight) enough to enjoy everything that life has to offer.

I am grateful for having inherited my dad’s genes of (I think) having a fast metabolism. Even if I eat a lot, I don’t get fat easily. ;) (although my tummy is getting bigger lately — and not due to a baby!)

I am grateful for not having a sweet tooth. Otherwise, I might be prone to get diabetes. It sorta runs in the family (my lolo died from complications from this).

I am grateful for my parents. For guiding me into the person that I am now. For giving me freedom as I was growing up. I never experienced curfews or stuff like that. They always allowed me to go wherever and whenever I wanted to, as long as they know where it is, who I am with, how am I getting there, who will take me home, etc.

I am grateful for being blessed with a sweet, thoughtful, wonderful and wacky family and having close relations with my relatives. Weekends spent at home is really a lot of fun and full of hilarious moments.

I am grateful for our yaya — lolita, who takes care of everything at home, my dad, my blind brother and my mom. She really is a part of the family.

I am grateful for my very makulet and really smart pamangkins — they always make me smile.

I am grateful for having such wonderful friends. Even if we don’t get to see each other as often as I’d like, they’re always there for me.

I am grateful for my mr. antuken. For letting me be who and what I wanna be. For understanding my moods. For always being there. For always making me laugh. Starting a life with him will not be all rosy, I’m sure. But then again, I never expected it to be

I am grateful for my job. It makes me insane sometimes, but at least I have one. There are a lot of people out there who always have jobs that aren’t permanent (contractual).

I am grateful for having a choice. Others do not.

I still have a ton of things to be grateful for, but putting ‘em all here would make this post really, really long. ;)

#51 - A Song of Gratitude

By, Sharon

I obtain so much happiness from just being able to see light in everyday,
I love to gaze at the dancing branches of the trees,
And realize how incredibly grateful I am for what I have been given,
And everything that YOU have unselfishly shared.
I just can’t stop smiling whenever I try to count all my blessings,
Knowing that I couldn’t count that much,
Even if I have forever with me.

I am eternally grateful on how you chased so many dark clouds away,
And given me days full of sunshine and tender warmth.
But until forever is here,
Until forever gives me another chance,
Till my whole life is lived,
I will eternally utter my praises to you, my God
I will constantly smile for every thought of you,
I will hold you in my heart as much as you hold mine,
I will feel blessed by your presence, in my mind, in my heart,
And it would be forever to give back all the happiness you’ve given me.
And it would take me forever to find the right words,
For all the thanks I would like to express
For all the profoundly comforts you have shared,
And for all the wonderful feelings of being loved and accepted.
Until forever is not enough, I will always love you.

#50 - Grateful Each Day

By, Lourdes

In this blog, the word "gratitude" has been listed as one of its labels. Why? Well, I guess this blog is really something that talks more about it. This blog (or the URL) was given to me by a friend and I guess its where all things have started. I felt very thankful for it. Not everyday in our life something extraordinary is given to you.

After being thankful (Pinay Mommy's Love Blog), life has gone so good for me lately. Many things were given that sometimes you could not imagine go your way. As I worked on my other blog's make-over, I never thought that one of the creators of the digital elements I used would proudly link back to my blog as an example of her work being used to action.

Of course, there are couple of things that made me felt a little bit bitter along the way but still it made me felt grateful in the end. As they say, there is always a rainbow after the rain! My husband and I, after being separated for 2 years but now together again for almost 2 years (and plans to have more years to come together), always have misunderstandings and sensational fights (hahaha....showbiz!). We are still in the process of regaining after everything that happened to us. But hey, we still do have fights but recently, I realized that our marriage is actually progressing. He still have immaturity in some aspects but he has shown me that he trying to make things right. Which for me, I am already grateful of. The will to change and the word "try" are enough for me to hope for a beautiful and blissful marriage with that of course is the help from the Almighty!! Our marriage might have not been patched-up if it weren't for God's Divine Intervention. That made me grateful enough!!

Everyday as I wake-up and see my family together, its a great reminder for me to be grateful to God who has brought every pieces of my shattered life together. Being united as a family is enough for me to be grateful each day.

I am also grateful for Monday Morning Power for initiating the new project on gratefulness. Cause you see, sometimes we need great people to help us remind of the things we need to be grateful of before its too late.

Come! Join us in our worldwide campaign of gratefulness. Everyday...there is always something to be grateful about...

#49 - A Tag From Ice

By, Charmaine

I got a tag from Ice. Thanks Ice!! It's been awhile that i haven't recieved any tags from you! lol..

This tag is to let everyone knows how important for us to be thankful To God whether small things about life, love, health and happiness in our everyday living. It doesn't have to be perfect everyday, cause there's no such thing is a perfect human being. All of us can make mistakes, but we can learn out of it. As for me, i've got a lot to be thankful for, my life - my health - my career/job - my happiness and my husband, my best friend and the love of my life. I'm also thankful to Him that i have the most wonderful and very supportive parents and a loving/caring brother. My second family here in the US, my mother in law, Sheila and my sister n law, Kim with her family whose been so nice and very caring/loving to me, for accepting me as part of their family. I thank God for having them in my heart. My relatives back in the Philippines, my friends... all the people around me and all the experiences in my life, i thank God for that... i owe Him my life.

#48 - Life is Full of Gratitude

By,

So my first post for this new blog would be about being grateful. I really like this Project because it does have a lot of benefits to bloggers such as getting a lot of backlinks and visitors for your blog but most of all; this one gives blogger a chance to share why they are most grateful about life.

Indeed, I am grateful with my life and with this blog. Why?

I am grateful about life because I have learned and still learning so much from it. Every people I meet halfway in life including those from the blogosphere always make a difference in me.

Every failure counts also because as common as it sounds, I really learn a lot from those failures. I’m not saying that it’s that easy but all I’m saying is after each chaos there’s always hope and there’s something to look forward to about life.
I’m grateful about life and love, because if I don’t believe that those things exist, I might have lost my sanity over the years. But it does exist and so am I. and so are you who keep loving and living. That alone is a reason to be grateful and to extend it to others.

No matter what where going through right now, even if we laugh or we whine, at the end of the day, make sure to point out things to be grateful about your existence and thank the One Above.

I am grateful about this blog because I never thought I can have it this time of the year. But fortunately, I am able to get a domain for free. The .info domain is cheap I know but its way better when you get it for free so I’m really happy about that. It’s not everyday that you get a free domain.

#46 - The Most Beautiful Thing

By, Miranda

Statement: I am grateful every day that I have been given the life that I lead. I am thankful for the loving, kind, smart man that is my husband. He is the best father anyone could be. I am thankful for the beautiful home that I live in. I am thankful to have a family that still loves me when I'm all grown up now and happy. I'm sorry I put you through so much when I was young. I am grateful for my body; that it is healthy and capable and strong. It has run many miles for me and best of all it grew and nourished my son. Thank you body for being so amazing at giving birth and making milk. Lastly, but certainly the most important, I am grateful for the beautiful, happy little boy that I've been given. Thank you for your smiles, and thank you for your giggles. I look forward to being your mommy.

I am so grateful to all that I have, I will have and and I don't have... Grateful for having a wonderful husband and kids. For all the blessings that are continuously coming.

#43 - Grateful

By, Mae

I was a preemie baby. My mom was only 8 months pregnant when the doctor told her that she has to undergo emergency ceasarian or else she will lose me. Why did I start with that statement? Because the first thing that I am grateful for (and there are many) is the fact that I have loving parents... My mom risked her life so she could have me. And that's just the beginning... My Dad loves me (his youngest daughter) so much that he would endure whatever to keep me comfy. I am also grateful for being blessed with three older sisters who share with me both their knowledge and experiences so as to make life easier for me. I am grateful for a brother who although at times can be hard to be with (I often don't understand his moods) takes care of me in his own way. I am grateful for all the blessings I have been given in the 16 years I have walked this world. God has indeed been very generous when he gave me the precious gifts of a wonderful family and loyal friends. Education, my family says, is a privilege and I am thankful that this privilege was given to me too. Material things can be entertaining for a while and I do get my share of gadgets and stuff that I am thankful for but what truly touches my heart is the more lasting, more extravagant, more meaningful presents that I have been fortunate enough to be given. A life to live and people I love to share it with!

#41 - Why I'm Grateful

By, Sandee

I don't really have much to complain about, but I certainly have many things that I am truly grateful for. The rules on how to play along are at the bottom of this post. Feel free to jump on board.

A dear friend sent me this via email and it so says exactly what I'm grateful for:

Old Age, I decided, is a gift. I am now, probably for the first time in my life, the person I have always wanted to be. Oh, not my body! I sometime despair over my body, the wrinkles, the baggy eyes, and the sagging butt. And often I am taken aback by that old person that lives in my mirror (who looks like my mother!), but I don't agonize over those things for long.

I would never trade my amazing friends, my wonderful life, my loving family for less gray hair or a flatter belly. As I've aged, I've become more kind to myself, and less critical of myself. I've become my own friend. I don't chide myself for eating that extra cookie, or for not making my bed, or for buying that silly cement gecko that I didn't need, but looks so avante garde on my patio. I am entitled to a treat, to be messy, to be extravagant.

I have seen too many dear friends leave this world too soon; before they understood the great freedom that comes with aging.

Whose business is it if I choose to read or play on the computer until 4 AM and sleep until noon?

I will dance with myself to those wonderful tunes of the 60&70's, and if I, at the same time, wish to weep over a lost love . I will. I will walk the beach in a swim suit that is stretched over a bulging body, and will dive into the waves with abandon if I choose to, despite the pitying glances from the jet set. They, too, will get old.

I know I am sometimes forgetful. But there again, some of life is just as well forgotten. And I eventually remember the important Things... Sure, over the years my heart has been broken. How can your heart not break when you lose a loved one, or when a child suffers, or even when somebody's beloved pet gets hit by a car? But broken hearts are what give us strength and understanding and compassion. A heart never broken is pristine and sterile and will never know the joy of being imperfect.

I am so blessed to have lived long enough to have my hair turning gray, and to have my youthful laughs be forever etched into deep grooves on my face. So many have never laughed, and so many have died before their hair could turn silver.

As you get older, it is easier to be positive. You care less about what other people think. I don't question myself anymore. I've even earned the right to be wrong.

I like being old. It has set me free. I like the person I have become I am not going to live forever, but while I am still here, I will not waste time lamenting what could have been, or worrying about what will be. And I shall eat dessert every single day. (If I feel like it!)

#39 - Life is full of gratitude

By, Fil-Oz

This tag is about things you are thankful about/for. And like everyone, I have lots to be thankful about/for.

I’m thankful God made me and let me see the beauty of every day. For all the blessings I have that makes me able to share to others. There’s my parents and my family, of course. My hubby and my wonderful siblings and my friends who always there for me. I am also thankful for all of the trials i’ve been through that made me a better person and reminds me I am human.
“If you can’t be content with what you have received, be thankful for what you have escaped”

#38 - Cyncerely Thankful

By, Kaleidoscope

I grew up learning to cultivate an “attitude of gratitude”, to be thankful for the things I have and not to waste time wishing for those that I don’t have. I was taught, all the way up through, that it is God that gives us the blessings in our life and I believe this completely. I know that it is God who gives me every breath I take in.

I often think about all the things I have to be grateful for, listing them in my mind and thanking God for them. It is when I do this that I know that even though I may not have much money- I am truly rich. In all the things that really matter, I am wealthy beyond measure.

The Lord gave me wonderful parents and I am thankful that I still have both of mine. He gave me a good husband and 6 great kids, all of which have grown up to be amazing adults. I have 7 grandchildren being raised by parents who love them and want to insure that they too grow up to be the best they can be. Their parents teach them the importance of knowing God for themselves and having a personal relationship with Him.

I had awesome grandparents, too. The ones on my Mom’s side were both born again believers and lived their lives as examples to all of us. The grandparents on my Dad’s side were not saved until very near the end of their lives, but oh, how grateful I am that they made that choice before they passed on!

I am grateful for the comfortable home that we have along with its’ comfortable mortgage. I am grateful for the good jobs that we have.

I belong to a wonderful church, have an excellent Pastor that isn’t afraid to preach tough stuff, have a church family that I love.

I have friends that have been with me through it all- the good, the bad and the ugly, and they’ve stuck by me.

Yes, I have heartache in my life, but I am grateful for the peace I have in knowing that God knows all about every bit of it. And, when the time is right, He will take care of each situation in His own way. My problems belong to Him, and which of them would I want to take back from His hands? Not a one- there’s no way I could fix them better than the Creator of the very universe.

I have so much that I am grateful for, that I could never list it all, so I won’t attempt to.

I’ll just go on, from day to day, reveling in the blessings that surround me, but most of all being thankful that it is well with my soul, which is one of my very favorite songs. I love the entire song, but it is the third verse I love the best. How could I be anything other than grateful, to the very core of my being, for knowledge such as that?

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Refrain

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul.

Refrain

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

Refrain

For me, be it Christ, be it Christ hence to live:
If Jordan above me shall roll,
No pang shall be mine, for in death as in life
Thou wilt whisper Thy peace to my soul.

Instead

He stretched forth nail scarred hands to me
when I would have drowned in sin’s stormy sea-
such gentle hands but, oh so strong
that once were pierced for all the things I’ve done wrong.

As I looked upon His compassionate face,
overwhelmed by His gift of grace,
He brought me safe to salvation’s shore
and generously forgave all I’d been before.

There on His brow where once the thorny crown was placed
were the tiny lines those thorns had traced.
I could only stand in awe and wonder why
He became the Sacrifice for a creature such as I.

It was for my sins He left His rightful throne
that I might someday claim His gift of salvation for my own.

And though I surely helped to set that mocking crown upon His head,
rather than the reproach I deserve- He gave His life instead.

#37 - Being Grateful

By, Beth
I have so much to be grateful for. I may not have the best car, the best house in the world and all other material things, but I got so much to be thankful for.

First, I thank God for giving His only Son to die on the cross for me. God gave me the best and most expensive gift.

I am thankful for my parents for loving me . For taking care of me and for working so hard just so I can finish my studies. For me, they are the best parents in the world.

I am thankful for my friends who are always there for me.

The last but not the least, I am thank my husband who loves me , takes care of me. He is not only my husband , but he is also my best friend.

#36 - Statement of Gratitude

By, Noushy Syah
This is my statement of gratitude and sorry for it's quite long, but that's what gratitude means to me. And attached is the graphic of my own.

Life happens whether we are ready for it or not, and in 2004, my mom and brother passed away after involved in a road traffic accident. I'm not sure we are ever really prepared to lose a parent, especially Mom and a loving brother at the same time who has loved and nurtured us all of our lives. I had more things I needed to talk with her about, and I know I wasn't ready to let her go.But life moves on.And I realised that thing happens for some reason. God has plans for us.

When life gets you down, when your hurt or angry or confused or frustrated, take a moment to stop and close your eyes and find things to be thankful for. Your health, your family, your job, the roof over your head, the fact that you’ll have a next meal, the beauty of the world around you, the good people and love in your life...Whatever you can think of, be thankful for them … and express that gratitude somehow. Realize that all is not bad in this world, and be happy for that.

Since being grateful means truly acceptance, think of the negative things that happen in your life, accept them in positive manner. Thank the person who was mean to you for teaching you patience and understanding. The fox that tore up your trash and not be grumpy for teaching you humility as you pick up the trash. Thank to the natural disaster you went through for reminding you of what is important in life. The tragedy or illness you are going through? Thank it for making you stronger. For all these, I'm so grateful and To God always be The Glory.
