#15 - My Husband

By, In the Life of MneI am grateful for a lot of things but would like to dedicate this statement to my loving husband.

I am grateful that I found a Husband who is perfect in so many ways (as a son, friend, brother, uncle, father, lover, & husband), who always sees both sides of the story, always giving someone a benefit of a doubt, would die to protect the CONSTITUTION of our beloved America for the future of our children, and such a honest man. He is my guide and direction. He always remind me to put my self in someone else's shoe when something doesn't come out the way it should be. I have so much love and respect for him.

#14 - Life Is Full of Gratitude

By, Reminiscence of My Adventures

My Husband, Family, Friends - Without them I would be nothing (of course next to our Creator). I am surrounded with countless blessings having these people around me. Everyone can leave you but not those real friends and family who will always be there to support you no matter what. My Life is such an endless journey with them, words are not enough to explain how blessed I am but through my eyes you can see a happy and satisfied family woman and having a career in life.

Those trials I surpassed in my life for it made me stronger and being MYSELF who and what I am now. There are times that you may think it's the end of the world for you but always remember that there's rainbow after the rain.

I love the line of Pilar Pilapil "Believe that you're worthy of it, ang taong nagpapatulak ang ibig sabihin ay nagpapatulak, if you stand your ground then nobody can push you around" from the Teleserye LOBO.

#13 - Give Thanks

By, Jenn

As always, I am ever thankful for all the blessings that come my way. Big or small, it doesn't matter - I am still thankful about it. Like when a new intermission comes up, or if my cat's eyes got healed after being irritated for a while, I shout a gratitude for that.

But so far, the biggest thing I am thankful for is the ability to travel and see things about my own country even if I am not gifted with lots of money. I am thankful that at this early, I've already seen five new places, and already, I have made a wish come true. With that, comes my gratitude of being close to my family, especially my mom. I am so thankful she and I get along very well now. In few of my travels, I have been with her, and it's one great bonding moment for us. I thank God for the opportunity of being close to my mom.

In everything I am thankful for, I am just thankful for the gift of life to enjoy life's simple moments. I hope I can continue enjoying life for many more decades to come.

#12 - I am Grateful For...

By, Expressions and Thoughts

God who had been faithful in everything He does. He's such a great God no one can fathom His greatness... for His provision in everything I and my family need... for giving me the desires of my heart...

My hubby - for his love for me. His love is enough to get me going and aiming to be the best wife one could ever be.

My kids - I have two wonderful and lovely kids. Sometimes they can get into my nerves but I am grateful to be their mother.

My family back home in the Philippines for their love, support and prayers for me.

My old friends - who remain friends with me even though I am far away...

My new friends - most of them are online (blogging) friends. It is, I think, better to meet friends this way... you know them right to their bones right away coz... well, if you're a blogger, you would know what I meant.

Mian and Alve for coming to stay with me at home while hubby is away. This morning, I was surprised to wake up with a spic and span home... and that included our study room which has been in the mess since we moved in. They cleaned my house last night until 1:30 am while I was happily, soundly asleep in my room. I couldn't ask for better friends.

#11 - Saying How Grateful I am...

By Blessed Sanctuary

Realization came into me that I have so much to be grateful with rather than lament on the situation where hubby is not around.

Juliana tagged me this. Thank you very much. I wanna thank you too for always checking on me and my daughter. It meant a lot. It is heart warming knowing that we have support from friends like you. With your tag also made me to express the gratitude I felt to all the people who touches my life.

First and foremost I give back all the glory and honor to our Almighty for all my life's blessings. Secondly to my parents who supported us, all their children, to attain our dreams in life. Also for understanding our shortcomings. To my brother and sisters who are there and help me get through college. They are also my inspiration to work hard and reach my goals. Even though we have misunderstandings but still I can say the family bond is still strong.

With everything I have right now I share it with my husband. He is very wonderful and he is very patient and thoughtful. A loving husband and a very good father. I see how he think about all his kids, their safety and their future. I am very much grateful to God for giving him to me. He is my defender, my hero and my rock. I give him thanks for being the same person that I know more than 5 years ago.

The most precious gift that I receive is our little girl to which I am very thankful to God. She give meaning to our lives. She is the reason why we are determined to have a very good and bright future. She complete us.

#10 - Thank God For Everything That Has Happened To Me

By And Life Goes On for a Filipino Mom

Life
is full of trials, disappointments, failures, and heartaches. It seems like daily living is incomplete without us facing adversaries and problems. Sometimes it feels like God has forgotten our existence.
Think again. God never fails. He is everywhere caring, loving and nurturing us. As you look around you, the things that you should be grateful for is limitless.

I thank God for everything that has happened to me: good or bad. The experiences that I had, the people who loved and betrayed me, financial abundance or its reciprocal, the ups and downs of my life molded me into who I am today.

Who I am? I am wife, a mother of five and a grandmom of one. I am a daughter, a sister, a cousin, an aunt and an in-law. I am a friend, a confidante, a godmother. I am a Christian that has unwavering faith on the goodness of God. I am thankful for the Lord has given the chance to be all these as I am grateful to all those who are the reasons of my existence.

#9 - My Statement of Gratitude

By My Happiness Haven

I made this blog solely to be more upbeat and appreciate even the small things in my everyday life because simply I am tired of worrying, tired of hearing complaints and tired of the growing negativity around the world and it’s simply draining (and it’s not good for the complexion too, imagine wrinkles, dry skin, zits, frizzy hair!)

Almost two years ago when I created my S.H.O.E. , a month ago I created this blog and it tremendously helped me with my outlook in life and I can easily stomp off negativity, honestly.

Of course, there is the occasional outburst, but like what Shrek always say better out than in. I also have a place to dump my complaints, grievances and hysteria, my other blog, my PMSing mode blog (Pissy Mood Syndrome) Earthly Explorations . Once it’s out, let go. I actually laugh at my silly outburst sometimes when I see them in that blog.

Thank you so much Pinay Jadefor tagging me with this Statement of Gratitude. How I am gratitude let me count the ways:

One, I am gorgeous (hahahaha! nobody is allowed to complain here go to the complaints link if you want to hahahaha!). Two, I am so lucky to have my family, despite our sometimes love-hate relationships, it’s normal, when you love someone you are not afraid to tell them of their mistakes and love them all the same despite their imperfections. Three, I have the most sweetest, prettiest, smartest, mischievous, loving daughter. Four, I am happily in love everyday of my life and I am thankful for finding a man who compliments me in every way. Five, I love how he loves me, true we have our ups and downs but we have weathered all the storms, I would be the happiest woman on earth when we will be able to prove the world they are wrong. But, honestly, we don’t need to prove anything to anyone but ourselves and that is all that matters. Six, I have the most amazing, nicest, playful cat in the world, my cat never fails to amaze me with all her crazy antics and her loving ways. I love that cat. Seven, I’m glad to have internet at home and blog and write and create stuffs with pictures using photoshop. Eight, I have accomplished so many things in my life that the average 30 year old like me might not have gone through. Nine, I have my share of the spot light and the 15 minutes and more of the fame allotted for every person in the world. Ten, good friends, who drops by from time to time, leave me notes, call me up, the thought that they remember is a feel good factor and I am thankful for they consider me as indispensible (indisposable?) friend.

If I count them one by one, this blog space will not be enough, so, I will just leave it at those ten general things. Material possessions and physical appearance wither, but what’s inside of you, how you feel inside and how you make others feel towards you are the greatest blessings and the ones to be most thankful about.

I hope everyone will find time to sit down and contemplate, if they cannot list down, everyday, the things they are thankful about each day and acknowledge all the beautiful things in their lives instead of the bad ones, probably that way, the world will change, not instantly though but slowly and surely.

#8 - More Resaons to be Grateful

By pinay mommy's love blog
Well, I have another blog that talks about the blessings that I have received. I haven't been their lately. Anyway, I am glad that Pinay Jade invited to me to participate on blogging things that you are grateful with. So, here are the things that I am really grateful about.

I am really grateful that I am still alive. God has really kept my insanity intact. Hehehehe... After all the problems I have encountered and still encountering, I am still happy that I am alive. Though there are many times I really wanted to call it quits but God have always found a way to talk inside my heart and give me more reasons to live for Him.

Every time I am in my utmost depression, I always think about my children. The thought of them making every hardship worth fighting for. "When I See You Smile, I Can Face The World," quote from my favorite theme song for my children. The song was sang by Bad English - When I See You Smile. Indeed, when I see them smile at me, I felt that everything will be alright. I love them and I am grateful for them.

Though my husband and I are not in good terms, I am still grateful for him. I may have not married the perfect match but I still felt that God gave him to me for a reason. Though he doesn't love me, I still do love him (for those who didn't know the history of my marriage, please don't judge me). I will keep my promise to love him till death do us part.

I am also thankful for the opportunity to work at home. I don't earn that much the way I was earning before in the corporate world but it gave me time to be with my children.

My parents, who are always there for me to back me up on my decisions. They really do have an unfailing love for me and for my children.

For my friends, both online and offline. They always cheer me up when I am down. They brighten my day with encouraging words.

I am also grateful for Amanda. With her template freebies, I was able to get what I wanted for my blog - personality and functionality expressed in one template.

#7 - Things I am Grateful For

By Life is Beautiful

I have many many things in my life to be grateful for and I try to think about it and appreciate it as often as I can. Here are some of my most important things that I am grateful for.

I am grateful for my husband. He's my true friend, my lover, my life partner, my mentor and my everything. It is not often that people meet their perfect match. I did.He is there when I feel sad, he listens to me and let's me cry if I want to .He is there for me at my crankiest moment, he deals with it so greatly I cannot believe it.I love him so much. I cannot ask for more. We will always be together for the good times and bad times as well.

I am grateful that my family are all healthy and well. After my father passed away 5 years ago my mother found herself a good man to be her partner in life. My mom is a beautiful person inside out and she deserves to be happy and I am she is.My brother Jamelle has just graduated from the university and is now preparing for his board exams. I hope he pass it with flying colors. He's a good kid.

I am grateful for my life. I am healthy and happy. We have a home and food to eat. And I am very thankful for that.

We have tree farms in Palawan, Philippines. Creating these farms from scratch and bringing employment to people in need have brought us invaluable life experiences and the chance of giving something back to the community. We adopted a school and help the less fortunate by sending books and school supplies. I am grateful for all the people that helped me donating these items.

#5 - Loved Ones

Loved ones never forgotten

I know I have so much to be grateful for, although I don’t always remember every minute of everyday. What I am most grateful for are the people I have in my life that love and care for me, and who I love and care for in return. I have a very loving husband, RennyBA, who is kind, faithful, supportive, who pushes me when I need to be pushed and stops me when I need to be stoped. A wonderful partner and a caring husband is something truly to be grateful for, but there is more.

I have two lovely children who have grown up to be nice, clean, intelligent, caring young gentlemen. They took the move from the USA to Norway like real troupers, have adjusted well, found friends, succeeded in school and aren’t ashamed to be seen with their mom in public :-) I also have 3 great step children who have accepted me into their fathers home with style and grace. Good kids, all of them in or finished with college! I have my loving brothers - Butch, Johnny and Christopher! My mother recently passed away and now we feel like we have to be the adults in the family, that isn’t an easy time…but I am endlessly grateful for having had my mother. I wouldn’t trade her for any other, and I wouldn’t have missed any of the time we spent together. Last and not least I have a fantastic father to be grateful for. He supported us well through our mom’s illness, and has always supported my decisions even when they were dumb ones. He let me be myself and always was there to love me.

I work in a women’s shelter and see lots of families that are not as fortunate as I am. I sometimes take my family for granted, but you know not unnecessarily every one has what I have. The only thing I want and need in life, people who love me as I am.

#2 - Gratitude Dance

I am thankful for The Gratitude Dance

#1 - Life

I’m grateful for...

…life. I thank the Creator for my existence, which would be impossible if He hadn’t created my wonderful family, and my ancestors. I’m grateful because my brother and I were the reason why they existed, the same way my children and nephews (and their kids) are the motive for us to be.

I’m grateful for all the good moments in my life, which brought me great happiness:

  • Being born in Mozambique
  • Traveling through so many countries
  • Interacting with different people and countries
  • Family gatherings
  • The hours invested in reading books and acquiring culture

And the most special one

  • When my fiancé proposed to me.

I am also grateful for all the “bad” moments because in the end they came to be a good growth tool. I learned many things with life vicissitudes (how to never quit, how to stay focused despite negative distractions, how to be objective, how to stay strong) and for that reason I say: thank you!

I have God in my life: Thank you!

I am a happy and healthy person: Thank you!

I face life with a smile on my face: Thank you!

I have a positive Attitude, I complain with style and I am grateful for being whom I am!

Gratitude Quotes

Albert Schweitzer:

To educate yourself for the feeling of gratitude means to take nothing for granted, but to always seek out and value the kind that will stand behind the action. Nothing that is done for you is a matter of course. Everything originates in a will for the good, which is directed at you. Train yourself never to put off the word or action for the expression of gratitude.

A. J. Cronin:

Gratitude is something of which none of us can give too much. For on the smiles, the thanks we give, our little gestures of appreciation, our neighbors build their philosophy of life.

Buddha:

Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful.

Cicero:

Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others.

Denis Waitley:

Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace and gratitude.

Epictetus:

He is a wise man who does not grieve for the things which he has not, but rejoices for those which he has.

Eric Hoffer:

The hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings.

Henry Ward Beecher:

Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul.

Johannes A. Gaertner:

To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live gratitude is to touch Heaven.

Margaret Cousins:

Appreciation can make a day, even change a life. Your willingness to put it into words is all that is necessary.

Meister Eckhart:

If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, "thank you," that would suffice.

Melodie Beattie:

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity.... It turns problems into gifts, failures into success, the unexpected into perfect timing, and mistakes into important events. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.

Mel Kaye:

Gratitude shows us the road to happiness. The expression of gratitude takes us to the road's end.

Rabbi Harold Kushner:

If you concentrate on finding whatever is good in every situation, you will discover that your life will suddenly be filled with gratitude, a feeling that nurtures the soul.

Ralph H. Blum:

There is a calmness to a life lived in Gratitude, a quiet joy.

Sarah Ban Breathnach:

You simply will not be the same person two months from now after consciously giving thanks each day for the abundance that exists in your life. And you will have set in motion an ancient spiritual law: the more you have and are grateful for, the more will be given you.

Seneca:

Nothing is more honorable than a grateful heart.

Unknown:

No duty is more urgent than that of returning thanks.
